Once you have taken out a policy, you will receive more information by email and the insurance company will send you the details of your policy and your medical card within a few days. You will be able to use your medical card in all the hospitals and centres that are covered by the medical insurance.
What is the tax regime and limitations?
This benefit is exempt from income tax.
The limits are 500€ per year for each insured person. People with disabilities have up to €1,500 per year, except in Navarre, where it is €500. Above that amount, you can consume but the consumption will not be exempt.
Except in the Basque Country where this benefit is not exempt.
