Collective policies, contracted by companies to offer employees as a benefit, are renewed once a year. This renewal moment is of vital importance since it will be the only time when cancellations with the insurer can be managed, regardless of when the employees enrolled.
At Cobee, a notification is sent to employees when the renewal period opens. This period is when employees can interact with the Cobee App to manage modifications to their insurance.
First of all, it is important to understand that health insurance renewals work with automatic annual renewals, meaning that if not informed otherwise, the insurance will be renewed under the agreed conditions between the insurer and the company. Now, let's explain how to proceed in different situations:
I have an existing insurance and want to renew it
You don't need to do anything. You can access the Cobee App, navigate to the health insurance benefit, and in the "Future Period" tab, check the conditions that will apply from the next annual period.
I don't have insurance and want to get one
You should access the Cobee App, go to the health insurance benefit, and in the "Future Period" tab, click on "Request for Future Period" to see the conditions of the product you wish to purchase. These steps should also be followed for your family members if you want them to have the insurance after adding them.
I have an existing insurance, but I want to switch to another one offered by my company
You should access the Cobee App, go to the health insurance benefit, and in the "Future Period" tab, click on the "Change" button to select the other offered option you want to switch to. These steps should also be followed for your family members if you want them to change their insurance as well.
I have an existing insurance and want to cancel it
First and foremost, it's essential to know that if your insurance is paid by your company, you cannot cancel it. However, if you are paying for it through your flexible compensation, both for yourself and your family members, you can go to the "Future Period" section and click on "Delete" to deactivate your insurance from the next annual period.
