In order to use your physical card, it is essential that you have your PIN code at hand, as you will have to enter it periodically in order to complete your purchases.

If you want to use your physical card for contactless payments, you must take into account that our bank will ask you for a PIN code verification in the following cases:
- The transaction you wish to complete is higher than 50,00 €.
- The total amount of the transactions placed up to the time of that payment sum up 150,00 €.
- The transaction you are going to place is transaction number 5 using contactless, even though it does not exceed the monetary limits indicated above.
In other words, for at least one out of every five payments you make using contactless, as well as those that exceed the limits indicated above, you will need to confirm the purchase using the PIN code.
In order to do this, the payment terminal must be ready, and you need to insert your card directly into it, so that the TPV asks you for the PIN code and you can validate the purchase.
This double verification will not be required for payments made with your mobile wallet, since when you add the card to the wallet and unlock it using the PIN code or Face ID you have already verified it.
